Zachariah Zegarowski (born September 12, 1964) is a former American college basketball player for University of Massachusetts men's basketball team. He is the step-father of current NBA player Michael Carter-Williams and is also his agent.
Life and CareerEdit
Zegarowski is a graduate of the University of Massassachusetts, Lowell. A scholarship basketball player, Zach was recruited by Stan VanGundy to play hoop for the River Hawks. After graduating from UMass, Zach joined his High school basketball coach at Charlestown High School as a teacher and coach. Working with Head Coach Jack O’Brien, Zach coached basketball and JV baseball. Together they won five state basketball titles and successfully facilitated placement for over 30 student-athletes into college. Their commitment to these student-athletes changed lives and created opportunities. Zach went on to become the assistant coach for the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School Boys’ Varsity Basketball team. In his first year as coach, the Generals’ won the league title. Zach is currently managing and training his stepson, Michael Carter-Williams, in the NBA.
Zegarowski and his wife Mandy have three children Masey, Marcus, and Max, and Carter has a son Michael with her ex-boyfriend Earl Williams. All four children currently playing basketball: Michael is currently a point guard for the Charlotte Hornets, Masey plays point guard for Bryant University, Marcus plays point guard for Creighton University and Max plays shooting guard for Lynn University.
