Tina Ball (née Slatinsky; born December 11, 1967) is an American former college basketball player who played for the Cal State LA Golden Eagles women's basketball team.
Personal Life Edit
Ball is the daughter of Bert and Catherine Slatinsky. She is the athletic director at a Southern California middle school. She is the wife of LaVar Ball, who is a retired American professional football player. They met when the two were college basketball players at California State University, Los Angeles. She played basketball at Cal State LA. I transferred from Washington State and saw her in the hall. Wow. She knocked me off my feet. I stopped her in the hall and said: ‘I don’t know what we’re going to do together, but we’re gonna do something.’ She was like, ‘is this guy cocky or what?’
The couple got married and she gave birth to three sons Lonzo (b. 1997), LiAngelo (b. 1998), and LaMelo (b. 2001). Following an illustrious career at Chino Hills High School in Chino Hills, California, Lonzo became a star at UCLA. Ball's younger sons play at the same high school and are both committed to UCLA.
