Besta Beal (née Stokes; born July 23, 1959) is an American former college basketball player who played for the Kentucky State Thorobreds women's basketball team of Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. A resident of Saint Louis, Missouri she is the mother of current NBA player Bradley Beal.
Personal Life Edit
Beal is the athletic director at University City High School in St. Louis, Missouri. While in college, she met Bobby Beal, who played football at the school. The couple got married and she gave birth to five sons, Brandon (b. 1985), Bruce (b. 1987), Bradley (b. 1993), and twins Byron, and Bryon (b. 1995). Brandon played tight end at Northern Illinois; Bruce played offensive lineman at Alabama State; Bradley is currently a shooting guard for the Washington Wizards; and Bryon and Byron played offensive linemen and defensive line at Lindenwood University. Through Bradley, she has one grandson, Deuce.
