Alfonso Clark "Benji" Burke Jr. (born May 10, 1968) is an American former college basketball player who played for the Northwest Missouri State University men's basketball team of Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. He is the father of current NBA player Trey Burke.
Alfonso Clark Burke Jr. known as Benji was born to Alfonso Clark Burke Sr. and Jackie Burke in Columbus, Ohio. Burke's father starred at East High School in Columbus in the 1950s and Burke starred at Eastmoor Academy in the 1980s before going on to set records at Northwest Missouri State University.
Burke met his wife Ronda, in Kansas City, Missouri and they have three children. His oldest daughter, Amber, is a singer and model. His son, Trey, currently plays in the NBA for the New York Knicks, while his youngest daughter, Amani, plays basketball at Ohio University. He has two grandchildren, Laia Nettles and Trey Burke, through Amber and Trey.
